Bayer Leverkusen ensure veteran midfielder Michael Ballack will leave
the club at the end of the season. However, Leverkusen will not find a
replacement for former captain of the German national team. Ballack
contract with Leverkusen will end this season. And CEO of Leverkusen,
Wolfgang Holzhauser, confirms both Ballack and the club agreed not to
continue the cooperation that has existed since 2010. "When we signed
Ballack in 2010 and then, obviously if we were both going separate
ways after two seasons. I hope he will continue impresifnya appearance
as in the first half of the season," says Holzhauser told Bild. With
the departure of Ballack, then Leverkusen did not have the figure of a
leader in the field. However, Holzhauser sure it will not find a
replacement for the former Chelsea player. "Following the transfer of
Bernd Leno and Philipp Wollscheid, which spent up to 15 million euros,
our funding is almost empty. A small squad may be too risky, but we've
got a good squad," says Holzhauser. Ballack alone is unlikely to
continue his career in Europe. 35 year-old midfielder is believed to
play in China by strengthening Shanghai Shenhua. In Shanghai Shenhua,
Ballack will join former teammate at Chelsea, Nicolas Anelka.
