Chivu targeted Genoa

No extension of contract defender Cristian Chivu raises question marks
about the future of these players from Romania with Inter Milan. In
fact, the 31- year-old contract will expire in June 2012. However, so
far never handed Inter a new contract. The absence of a new contract
offer directly to make a few clubs began to close Chivu. One of the
most industrious club is Genoa.

The Italian club is reportedly keen to
bring Chivu in the transfer market next year. But the problem is not
just Genoa. Two other elite clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City
are also interested. The two clubs were linked as it is considered its
proximity to both the team coach, Jose Mourinho and Roberto Mancini.
However, Genoa seems to have a better chance. Genoa plans to offer a
prime position in the squad. Although not yet extended, Chivu role
with Inter is still central. Since joining in 2007, Chivu often enter
the core squad. (Football Italia)
